brief

Export Capability

Context &
Overview.

The export capability programme through its regional and national programmes will contribute to increasing exports in targeted sub-sectors by 25% above trend. Partnerships are created with targeted firms in the horticulture and tourism sectors; and supporting market linkages within selected e-commerce ecosystems.

Overall, this programme will facilitate market access with the view of increasing exports to existing destinations, but also supporting opportunities for trade with new and/or untapped developed or emerging markets. There will also be direct coordination and linkages with TradeMark East Africa’s Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) programme as well as the trade and logistics clusters (TLCs), which will provide opportunities to scale up sectoral export growth programming in high production areas, for export ready firms.
